Woolsey Fire Update

The animals are back at camp! After being evacuated since the fire began, the animals finally returned home. Read more about the animals here:

****Previous Update***
Camp somehow survived thus far. The animals were safely evacuated. The fire couldn’t have gotten closer than it did. Fire was within 3 feet of one building and 50 feet of most buildings. We are very very lucky. Ray, thank you for the work you and your son-in-law did when the fire crews had to go elsewhere because they were stretched so thin. But we are not out of the woods yet. The fire is still burning and we are still under mandatory evacuation so things could change at any time. Just yesterday morning the fire department helicopter was doing water drops on the front of the property and on the adjacent property.

We know that some of our neighboring camps have not been as fortunate. We are here to help if you need our assistance. To those alumni, staff members, camp families, and neighbors in our community that weren’t as lucky, our hearts are with you. If you could use our help, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to assist.

We will continue to post to our Facebook page so please check there for updates and photos:
