A Message from Ryan

Dear Camp Kinneret Families,

At Camp Kinneret, we believe every summer is a new adventure, and the skills and memories last a lifetime.

Last summer, we moved to four two-week sessions, and the results were exactly what we hoped for. Two full weeks together gives campers time to really get to know each other, and that’s when the magic happens. Once campers feel safe and accepted by their group, they feel comfortable enough to take a risk, try something new, and challenge themselves. When groups are constantly changing or sessions are too short, campers never quite settle in; they stay nervous about being laughed at or made fun of, and they hold back. Our two-week sessions give every camper the time to find their place, feel a real sense of belonging, and grow.

Growth doesn’t always feel easy. As one of my favorite reminders puts it, “Real improvement often feels uncomfortable in the middle of the process.” That’s why we intentionally build our program around the skills children need most in today’s world: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Every day at camp, campers have real opportunities to practice life skills: speaking in front of a group, leading their peers, making mistakes and trying again, and learning to work through hard things instead of giving up. With caring counselors cheering them on, campers discover what they’re capable of, and they leave with confidence that lasts long after summer ends.

Whether your family has been with us for years, took a summer off, or is just getting to know us, our focus is the same as it has always been: helping each camper grow, build new skills, and become more fully who they are. Our mission guides everything we do:

Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday, giving campers ten full days of connection, play, and growth. Campers can join us for one session or several, and our Weird, Wild & Wacky Week add-on wraps up the summer for campers who attend any regular session. For 2027, we’re also planning additional options for adding a week of camp, with more details to follow soon!

Registration opens December 14 for returning families and January 18 for new families. We can’t wait to start another wonderful season together.
