Riding the Bus! Bus Stops and Times - Click Here

At Camp Kinneret, we've always believed that the camp day starts the moment each child gets on the bus and doesn't end until they get off. Camp Kinneret bus rides are a safe, fun, well supervised part of each day.

Safety!
Safety is our number one focus throughout camp, and no where is this more true than in transporting our campers to and from camp. Camp Kinneret uses the professional bus services of Atlantic Express. All buses are driven by professional school bus drivers and are equipped with seatbelts and air conditioning. With our commitment to camper safety, Camp Kinneret was the first local camp to use exclusively professional drivers starting back in 2002.

Fun!
Our Rider Cup Bus Spirit Challenge keeps everyone engaged and energized on the way to and home from camp. This friendly inter-bus competition includes singing, bus decorating, and the composition of a unique new bus song for each bus each session. Whether campers ride the Alligator bus on the east, the Hyena bus on the west or any of the other 6 buses in between, bus spirit runs high at Camp Kinneret. Nearly 95% of Camp Kinneret campers of all ages ride the bus each day.

Parent Provided Transportation / Extended Hours

Parents are welcome to drive their campers to and from camp. Camp staff are available during the following hours:

Morning drop off is available from 8:15 - 9:00.
Afternoon pickup is available from 3:50 - 4:45.

Campers may be picked up or dropped off by their parents and ride the bus in the other direction. Simply sign up for bus transportation and let us know which direction you will be driving.

There is no additional charge for utilizing the extended hours and there is no discount available for parent provided transportation.

Supervision!
At Camp Kinneret, we hire our staff to ride our buses to and from camp. Each bus's staff team works together under the supervision of the Bus Captain to create the fun, safe, well supervised bus rides our Camp Kinneret families have come to know and expect. Virtually all bus stops have at least one senior staff member as their designated bus stop counselor. Most buses have anywhere from 4-6 bus counselors on board.
Riding the Bus Convenience!
Choose from more than 25 different conveniently located neighborhood meeting points. (See bus schedule below.) Most families are less than 5 minutes from their nearest stop. Stops are located in Agoura, Calabasas, Encino, Hidden Hills, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Tarzana, Thousand Oaks, West Hills, Westlake Village and Woodland Hills.

Meet the Bus Counselors!
On the Saturday prior to each session, bus counselors travel to each bus stop to meet campers and make personal connections. These meetings often provide that little extra peace of mind for new younger campers (and their parents) as they prepare for the first days of camp.

This is the bus schedule for Summer 2011. Final routes and times for summer 2012 will be determined by enrollment.
