Swimming in our 25 yard pool is a highlight of every camp day.

• Every camp group swims for 35 - 40 minutes each day.
• All swimming is supervised by our team of certified lifeguards. The lifeguard to camper ratio is approximately 1:11.
• Each swim period is divided into both a group lesson and free swim.
• Each group's counselor and high school leadership intern swim with the campers providing both opportunities for fun and additional hands on, in the water supervision.
• Swimming at Camp Kinneret is highly organized and controlled. There is never room for unsafe horseplay in the water!
• Many campers start camp as non-swimmers and advance their swimming skills and confidence in our fun, safe, encouraging structured swim environment.
• Swimming is a fun and refreshing part of each day!

Safety in the Water

Campers' water safety levels are individually assessed by a lifeguard on each child's first day in camp. Campers are then identified in one of three color coded levels to indicate their degree of safety in the water. Following the first days, prior to entering the pool area, counselors provide each camper with their color coded wristband that identifies their water safety level. This wristband system allows all lifeguards and counselors to easily identify the appropriate and safe areas of the pool for each camper at all times.
