Small, balanced camper groups of 11-14 each day
Small groups and low camper to counselor ratios are cornerstones of the Camp Kinneret program.
They combine to make each child's experience special by optimizing peer interaction, camper:counselor interactions, quality supervision, safety and program participation.
Campers entering 1st through 7th grades are divided into gender specific groups that enroll 13-14 campers each day of the week. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten groups may be co-ed or gender specific depending on enrollment each year and enroll up to 11-12 campers each day.
These group sizes are large enough to provide a mix of different children, friends, and personalities, and small enough to facilitate significant positive interaction between campers and counselors.
They are large enough to divide into two teams for athletic activities, and small enough to afford everyone a turn and attention from instructors at all of the camp activities.
